Blake Ferm

I grew up just outside New York City, where the rhythms of nature met the pulse of urban life. Making music became a way to explore both worlds, first through instruments and a Tascam four-track, then through the possibilities of creating with a computer. That curiosity carried me across both coasts and along an unconventional path into sound, moving images, and software engineering. Across each discipline, I'm drawn to the same process: experimenting, following the details, and giving an idea a form of its own.

Today, I run Ferm & Co., an independent studio where I design and build web platforms. Building my own business has been a meaningful expression of that independence, and a source of pride. My creative practice continues as Techture, exploring technology and nature through music and motion, with room for others to find their own stories in the work. Together, these pursuits reflect how I approach the world: with curiosity, care, and a belief that technology can help us create something deeply human. I'm still learning, still building, and hopeful about what comes next.
